 Miami-semester

Miami Semester/Year is an academic program for visiting undergraduate students currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in the United States or abroad.

Students may attend UM in their sophomore, junior or senior year for one or two semesters. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply.

Application Process

  • Application Requirements

    The application process takes up to 10 business days to process and all documents must be received by the closing deadline.

    Please note: All documents must be uploaded in your College Status Portal.

    • Student must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
    • Student must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale)
    • Letter of Recommendation from a current or recent professor 
    • Letter of good academic standing from your current university/college
    • Official college transcript(s) from all undergraduate institutions attended
    • Statement of Purpose-300 words

    International Applicants are required to upload the following additional documents to your College Status Portal:

  • Apply Online

    • Apply Now
    • Select the non-degree online application
    • Pay the $75 nonrefundable application fee
    • Upload supplemental documents in your College Status Portal

     

  • Register and Search for Classes

    Once you receive an email that your application was approved, proceed with the following steps below:

Upcoming Deadlines

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Once all supplemental documents have been received, consider that additional materials, such as design portfolios may require additional processing time. Notification of admission will be provided.
